This would be of most interest to those members who do not have your own website. For example, a small restaurant could make its regular menu available. A tailor or barber shop or house cleaning service may want to present their services.
If you wish to make use of this benefit, you would need to create a document of some kind, say a Microsoft Word document. (If you do not have a computer or you do not have Microsoft Word software, perhaps you can get help from someone who does.) This document may be of any length but you are limited to a single document/file.
In your document you put whatever you want the world to see regarding your business. This document may be a Word document, an HTML file, a PDF, or a graphic. But you are limited to a single item. So for example a HTML document and a graphic in it, would be two items, not one. The web page that you are reading currently consists of an HTML document along with numerous separate graphics, all giving the appearance of a single page. But as such, we will not permit because it is more than one item.
Word permits you to have color and also to insert pictures/graphics in your document. When you are finished with your document, Word allows you to "SAVE AS" a web page, namely HTML. The advantage of converting to HTML is that your web page will display much much faster than a Word document when your customer's view it. However there may be a disadvantage to converting to HTML. If you include a graphic in your Word document and you convert to HTML, then you get more than one file—which as stated above is not permitted.
When you email us with an electronic copy of your document/file as an attachment, again understand that you are limited to only one attachment. We will make it available from your listing in the Our Businesses page using the "W" icon which we have used for other businesses' websites. Consequently your web page will be accessible as any other web page.
Once your page is operational you may, in the future, have a need to change this single page. At the present time you will be permitted to do so, though at some future time the Chamber will charge for changes.
Please contact the Chamber Administrator, Nancy McLure, at nancymclure@yahoo.com for questions or changes.
