Stephen started Stephen Taylor Photography in 1985 with a dream and vision. As a successful software designer with Bell Labs Stephen was searching for a unique perspective to start his business. In 1987 Stephen saw an opening and introduced the documentary style used by Life magazine photographers to New Jersey social elite. Inspired by the images of the Kennedy family. He noticed that 40 years later these images became history. They increased in value. Although many of the family members are gone though their images the family becomes alive. They stood the test of time. Stephen thought how great would it be to offer this style to all families. His style was loved it and very soon Stephen branded this style as AA Day in Your Life@. By the end of the 90's this style became the style of choice by many clients and his studio grew to 400 events per year and team of 30 members. Today Stephen heads a Salon in Bernardsville of documentary artists and continues to promote the ADay in Your Life@ documentary to corporations, families and for special life cycle events. Today his studio is a leader in the area of the largest Digital photography.
Stephen’s passion these days is showing his appreciation to the community. In 2005 his salon raised $30,000 for various charitable organizations in the community. Stephen loves teaching others and dreams of teaching the Art of Photography around the world to corporate and professional career people who share his passion.
Stephen’s wife Lori is his business partner and his 11 year old son Jordan attends Gill St Bernard’s school.
